ARAULLO HIGH SCHOOL 1972 INTERNATIONAL ALUMNI FOUNDATION (AHS72IAF) Scholars for the academic year 2009-10 are shown above during the Scholars’ Orientation held on May 25, 2009 in Makati City, Philippines.

The Scholarship Program of AHS72IAF provides annual scholarship grants of 20,000 pesos each (approximately US $450) allocated for meal & transportation expenses, school uniforms & shoes,  school supplies and school projects.

In partnership with DANGAL ARAULLO 1972 Alumni Association, Inc. based in Manila, the scholars were chosen from among applicants screened and recommended by the Guidance Counselor of Araullo High School, a public high school located at Taft Avenue, Manila.  The scholars possess good character and academic backgrounds and come from poor families that require financial assistance to sustain their education.  

The mission of AHS72IAF is to provide scholarship grants and student aid to deserving students of Araullo High School to prepare them for college and to empower them out of poverty.

Ric M. Pinca, ( right photo) co-chair of the AHS72IAF Scholarship Program presides over the Scholars’ Orientation Meeting wherein the scholars and their parents were informed of the guidelines and requirements of the Scholarship Program. He stressed, among others, the importance of the responsibility of the scholars to maintain passing or better grades; and of their parents/guardians to care for the well being of the scholars both in school and at home.

Charmane who celebrated her birthday on March 10, 2009 wished that she be chosen as one of the AHS72IAF Scholars for the academic year 2009-2010. She got her birthday wish! Congratulations!
