CONGRATULATORY ADDRESS BY PALANCA LITERARY AWARDEE AND RECIPIENT OF BALAGTAS LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD, FIDEL RILLO,
TO PARENTS AND SCHOLARS OF AHS72IAF

I am not much for citing or quoting cliches or platitudes to emphasize certain wisdom or drive home a point, but there is one proverb – believed to be African but whose exact provenance or origin remains uncertain—which I truly believe in, and that is the one which goes: “It takes a village to raise a child.”  As some of the parents and students gathered here are probably aware of, that is also the title of a popular children’s book by Jane Cowen-Fletcher and a book on education by former US First Lady Hillary Clinton.<Please click here to read more>

NOTES OF APPRECIATION FROM SCHOLARS:
I would like to thank the Alumni Batch72 for giving me the scholarship for the whole school year. It was a big help to me because without the allowance, I would not be able to join activities and clubs in school. I really enjoy the scholarship and I am very thankful to all of you. In return, I am proud to tell you that I was awarded as Second honor in special science section while 5th in overall. During the recognition, I was also awarded as Best Library Assistant and Best in Business Planning. I studied hard and I did my very best just to show you that I deserve the scholarship. I promise to you that someday when I am already successful, I would also offer scholarship for those students who cannot afford to study. Once again THANK YOU and GOD BLESS YOU ALL! - ALFEA AGUILA

Ma'am I'm happy to tell you that I was one of the representatives of Manila in the National Youth Gathering in Dagupan City. We won 2nd runner-up in creative presentation contest. Last November 2, we went to Baguio City to represent our school. We won the Outstanding delegation and I was one of the outstanding delagate.I was elected as the general secretary of the general assembly. This coming November 16, I will join the oratorical contest and on November 17, I will join the Search for Eco Queen outside the school. On November 21, i will also join the business planning contest while Nathaniel will join the Quiz bee division level. This December 1, I will join the regional YMCA Oratorical Contest. I will do my best to win these contests. Thank you for your support and God Bless you all!

I already received the allowance for this month. I used the money to buy my school supplies and requirements needed in the school. I promised to you that this school year I will do my best and I will study hard. As of now, my first priority is my academics and next to it is the extracurricular activities. I am now the president of the Hi-Y club, vice president of Health club, PRO of Toast Master's Club and member of Girl Scouts and Glee Club. Once again, thank you ma'am,take care, and God Bless you all! - ALFEA AGUILA
